This Privacy Policy explains what information Costbook (the “App”) handles and why. The App is developed by Jupiter Software (“we”, “us”, “our”).

In short:

• You can use Costbook without an account. Your expense lists then stay on your device and we never receive them.
• An account is only needed for Costbook Plus features: syncing across devices and sharing lists.
• No ads and no tracking across apps. Anonymous usage counts help us improve the App (section 10).
• Receipts are scanned on your device. Only when you tap Scan with AI is the document’s image sent to our server to be read by AI.
• Your location is saved with expenses only if you turn on Expense Location.

1. Using Costbook Without an Account

Your expense lists, expenses, receipt images, categories, payment methods, cover photos and settings are stored only on your device (and in your device backups, such as iCloud Backup or Android’s Google backup, if you have them turned on). We have no access to them.

2. Information We Collect When You Sign In

Signing in is optional and uses Sign in with Apple or Google Sign-In, handled by Firebase Authentication (a Google service). When you sign in, we store an account profile containing:

• Name, email address and profile photo link from your Apple or Google account. If you choose “Hide My Email” with Sign in with Apple, we only receive Apple’s private relay address.
• Sign-in methods linked to your account.
• Technical details: platform (iOS or Android), operating system version, device type (for example iPhone, iPad or an Android phone), app version, language and region setting, preferred currency, account creation date, last sign-in and last activity time.

We use this information to run your account, keep your devices in sync, show members of a shared list who is who, and help you when you contact support. We process it to provide the features you ask for and, for support and security, on the basis of our legitimate interests.

3. Synced and Shared Expense Lists

If you have Costbook Plus and turn on Sync, the following is stored in Google Cloud Firestore so it is available on all your devices: expense lists (title, dates, currency, budget, cover color and cover photo), expenses (amount, currency, category, note, payment method, date and time, who added it, where it was added if Expense Location is on, and attached receipt images), payments marked as made between members of a shared list (who paid whom, the amount and the date), and your categories and payment methods.

When you share a list with an invite code, everyone who joins can see and edit that list and its expenses, including receipt images and where expenses were added, can see and mark payments between members, and can see the name and profile photo of the other members. Only share invite codes with people you trust.

4. Camera, Photos and Receipt Scanning

• Camera is used only when you scan a receipt. You can also pick a photo from Photos or a file (image or PDF) from Files. Text is recognized on your device, with Apple’s Vision framework on iPhone and iPad and with Google’s ML Kit (part of Google Play services) on Android. A compressed copy of the image is saved on your device with the expense, and synced and shared with it if Sync is on. You can remove it from the expense at any time.
• Scan with AI is optional and only runs when you tap it, after agreeing once. The document’s image, the text recognized on your device, and the names of your categories and payment methods are sent to our server (Google Cloud Functions), which passes them to an AI service, the Google Gemini API or, when it is unavailable, a model reached through OpenRouter, to read the amount, date, merchant, category and payment method. The result comes back to the App; we do not store the image or what was read. These AI services handle the content under their own terms and may retain it; Google, for example, may use content sent to its free tier to improve its products. Please don’t use Scan with AI on documents with information you don’t want to share.
• To keep Scan with AI to a few scans a day per person, our server stores how many scans you used today, under your account ID or, if you are not signed in, a random ID created on your device. To make sure requests come from the real App, Firebase App Check verifies them with Apple’s App Attest on iPhone and iPad and with Google Play Integrity on Android.
• Photos are used only when you choose a cover photo for a list or pick a receipt to scan. A compressed copy of a cover photo is stored with the list, and synced if Sync is on.
• Share sheet: you can share receipt photos or PDFs to Costbook from other apps. They are read on your device in the same way and kept on your device until the App adds them as an expense.

5. Expense Location

Expense Location is an optional Costbook Plus feature and stays off until you turn it on in Settings. While it is on, the App asks your device for your location (to about 100 meters) when you add an expense and saves it with the expense, together with a short place name, so you can see your expenses on a map. The place name is looked up with Apple’s Maps service on iPhone and iPad and with Android’s geocoder (a Google service) on Android, which receive the location for that; maps are shown with Apple Maps or Google Maps. Locations are stored on your device, and synced and shared with their expenses if Sync is on. You can remove the location from any expense, and turning Expense Location off stops new expenses from saving one.

6. Shared List Notifications

If you are signed in and turn on Shared List Notifications in Settings, the App registers your device with Firebase Cloud Messaging (a Google service), and on iPhone and iPad with Apple Push Notification service, and stores the device’s notification token, your language and region setting, and whether notifications are on, under your account. When someone adds an expense to a list you share, or marks a payment between you and another member, our server (Google Cloud Functions) sends a notification to your devices with the list’s name, the person’s name, the amount and the expense’s note. Turning the setting off, or signing out, stops notifications on that device.

7. Features That Stay on Your Device

• App Lock uses Face ID, Touch ID or your passcode on iPhone and iPad, and your fingerprint, face or screen lock on Android, checked by the operating system. The App only learns whether the check succeeded; we never receive your biometric data.
• Widgets, Live Activities and the pinned list notification show your spending on your Home Screen and Lock Screen from data kept on your device. Anyone who can see your screen can see it.
• Apple Watch and Wear OS: the watch app gets your lists and categories directly from your phone, and expenses you add on the watch go directly to your phone. Nothing passes through our servers.

8. Exchange Rates

To convert amounts between currencies, the App downloads daily exchange rates from a free public service (Exchange API, delivered through jsDelivr and Cloudflare Pages). These requests contain no personal information, although, as with any internet request, those servers can see your IP address.

9. Purchases

Costbook Plus is sold through Apple’s App Store on iPhone and iPad and through Google Play on Android. Apple or Google processes the payment and we never receive your payment details. The App only learns from them which plan is active.

10. What We Don’t Do

• We don’t show ads or include advertising SDKs.
• We don’t track you across apps or websites, and we don’t use advertising identifiers.
• We don’t sell or rent your information.

We use Google Analytics for Firebase to count how the App is used: for example that a list was created, an expense was added, an invite was opened or the Costbook Plus screen was shown, and purchases. With these come your device type, operating system and app version, language and approximate country. The events never contain list names, amounts, notes or receipts. Analytics runs without the advertising identifier and with ad personalization turned off. On iPhone and iPad, if you installed the App from an Apple Ads ad, Apple tells the App which campaign, ad group and keyword it came from, and these IDs are kept with the analytics.

If you have chosen to share analytics with app developers in your iOS settings, or usage and diagnostics in Android, Apple or Google may provide us with anonymous crash reports.

11. Service Providers and International Transfers

Account and synced data are stored with Google Firebase (Authentication and Cloud Firestore), which processes it on our behalf on servers that may be located outside your country. See Privacy and Security in Firebase. Scan with AI runs on Google Cloud Functions and uses the Google Gemini API and OpenRouter (and the AI model providers it routes to), as described in section 4. Notifications are delivered through Firebase Cloud Messaging and Apple Push Notification service, as described in section 6. Usage counts go to Google Analytics for Firebase, as described in section 10. Otherwise we share information only when required by law.

12. Data Retention and Deletion

• Data on your device stays until you delete it or the App.
• Deleted lists and expenses stay in Recently Deleted for 30 days and are then permanently deleted.
• Signing out hides your account’s lists on that device; nothing is deleted.
• Deleting your account: in the App, go to Settings → Sync → Delete Account. This permanently deletes your account, your profile and everything synced to it, including lists you own and share with others. You are removed from lists other people shared with you; expenses you added there stay in those lists. Data on your device is not affected.
• Your devices’ notification tokens are deleted with your account, and a token that stops working is deleted the next time a notification is sent.
• You can also email us to ask for your data to be deleted.

13. Your Rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in the EU and UK, or KVKK in Türkiye), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your data, and to object to or restrict its processing. You can view and edit most of your information in the App; for anything else, contact us. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

14. Children

Costbook is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

15. Changes to This Policy

When this policy changes, we will update this page and the date at the top.

Bu Gizlilik Politikası, Costbook uygulamasının (“Uygulama”) hangi bilgileri neden işlediğini açıklar. Uygulama Jupiter Yazılım (“biz”) tarafından geliştirilmektedir.

Kısaca:

• Costbook’u hesap açmadan kullanabilirsiniz. Bu durumda harcama listeleriniz cihazınızda kalır, bize hiç ulaşmaz.
• Hesap yalnızca Costbook Plus özellikleri için gerekir: cihazlar arası eşitleme ve liste paylaşma.
• Reklam ve uygulamalar arası takip yoktur. Uygulamayı geliştirmek için anonim kullanım sayıları tutarız (10. bölüm).
• Belgeler cihazınızda taranır. Belgenin görüntüsü, yalnızca AI ile tara’ya dokunduğunuzda yapay zekâ ile okunmak üzere sunucumuza gönderilir.
• Konumunuz harcamalarla yalnızca Harcama Konumu’nu açarsanız saklanır.

1. Costbook’u Hesapsız Kullanmak

Harcama listeleriniz, harcamalarınız, belge görüntüleriniz, kategorileriniz, ödeme yöntemleriniz, kapak fotoğraflarınız ve ayarlarınız yalnızca cihazınızda (ve açıksa iCloud Yedekleme ya da Android’in Google yedeklemesi gibi cihaz yedeklerinizde) saklanır. Bunlara erişimimiz yoktur.

2. Giriş Yaptığınızda Topladığımız Bilgiler

Giriş yapmak isteğe bağlıdır; Apple ile Giriş veya Google ile Giriş kullanılır ve Firebase Authentication (bir Google hizmeti) üzerinden yürütülür. Giriş yaptığınızda şu bilgileri içeren bir hesap profili saklarız:

• Ad, e-posta adresi ve profil fotoğrafı bağlantısı (Apple veya Google hesabınızdan). Apple ile Giriş’te “E-postamı Gizle”yi seçerseniz yalnızca Apple’ın yönlendirme adresini alırız.
• Hesabınıza bağlı giriş yöntemleri.
• Teknik bilgiler: platform (iOS veya Android), işletim sistemi sürümü, cihaz türü (örneğin iPhone, iPad veya bir Android telefon), uygulama sürümü, dil ve bölge ayarı, tercih edilen para birimi, hesabın oluşturulma tarihi, son giriş ve son etkinlik zamanı.

Bu bilgileri hesabınızı yürütmek, cihazlarınızı eşitlemek, paylaşılan listelerde üyelerin kim olduğunu göstermek ve destek taleplerinize yardımcı olmak için kullanırız. Bu işleme, talep ettiğiniz hizmetin sunulması ve destek ile güvenlik konusunda meşru menfaatimiz hukuki sebeplerine dayanır.

3. Eşitlenen ve Paylaşılan Harcama Listeleri

Costbook Plus’ınız varsa ve Eşitleme’yi açarsanız, şunlar tüm cihazlarınızda kullanılabilmesi için Google Cloud Firestore’da saklanır: harcama listeleri (başlık, tarihler, para birimi, bütçe, kapak rengi ve kapak fotoğrafı), harcamalar (tutar, para birimi, kategori, not, ödeme yöntemi, tarih ve saat, ekleyen kişi, Harcama Konumu açıksa eklendiği yer ve eklenen belge görüntüleri), paylaşılan bir listenin üyeleri arasında yapıldı olarak işaretlenen ödemeler (kimin kime ödediği, tutar ve tarih) ile kategorileriniz ve ödeme yöntemleriniz.

Bir listeyi davet koduyla paylaştığınızda, katılan herkes o listeyi ve harcamalarını, belge görüntüleri ve harcamaların eklendiği yerler dahil, görebilir ve düzenleyebilir; üyeler arasındaki ödemeleri görebilir ve işaretleyebilir; diğer üyelerin adını ve profil fotoğrafını görebilir. Davet kodunu yalnızca güvendiğiniz kişilerle paylaşın.

4. Kamera, Fotoğraflar ve Belge Tarama

• Kamera yalnızca belge tararken kullanılır. Taranacak belgeyi Fotoğraflar’dan ya da Dosyalar’dan (görüntü veya PDF) da seçebilirsiniz. Metin cihazınızda okunur: iPhone ve iPad’de Apple’ın Vision teknolojisiyle, Android’de Google’ın ML Kit’iyle (Google Play hizmetlerinin parçası). Görüntünün sıkıştırılmış bir kopyası harcamayla birlikte cihazınızda saklanır; Eşitleme açıksa harcamayla birlikte eşitlenir ve paylaşılır. Görüntüyü istediğiniz zaman harcamadan kaldırabilirsiniz.
• AI ile tara isteğe bağlıdır ve yalnızca bir kez onay verdikten sonra dokunduğunuzda çalışır. Belgenin görüntüsü, cihazınızda tanınan metin ve kategori ile ödeme yöntemlerinizin adları sunucumuza (Google Cloud Functions) gönderilir; sunucumuz bunları tutar, tarih, işletme, kategori ve ödeme yöntemini okuması için bir yapay zekâ hizmetine, Google Gemini API’ye ya da o yanıt vermezse OpenRouter üzerinden erişilen bir modele iletir. Sonuç Uygulamaya döner; görüntüyü ve okunanları biz saklamayız. Bu yapay zekâ hizmetleri içeriği kendi koşullarına göre işler ve saklayabilir; örneğin Google, ücretsiz katmanına gönderilen içeriği ürünlerini geliştirmek için kullanabilir. Paylaşmak istemediğiniz bilgiler içeren belgelerde AI ile tara’yı kullanmayın.
• AI ile tara’yı kişi başına günde birkaç taramayla sınırlamak için sunucumuz, o gün kullandığınız tarama sayısını hesap kimliğinizle ya da giriş yapmadıysanız cihazınızda oluşturulan rastgele bir kimlikle saklar. İsteklerin gerçek Uygulamadan geldiğinden emin olmak için Firebase App Check, bunları iPhone ve iPad’de Apple’ın App Attest hizmetiyle, Android’de Google Play Integrity ile doğrular.
• Fotoğraflar yalnızca bir listeye kapak fotoğrafı ya da taranacak bir belge seçtiğinizde kullanılır. Kapak fotoğrafının sıkıştırılmış bir kopyası listeyle birlikte saklanır, Eşitleme açıksa eşitlenir.
• Paylaşım menüsü: belge fotoğraflarını veya PDF’leri başka uygulamalardan Costbook’a paylaşabilirsiniz. Bunlar da aynı şekilde cihazınızda okunur ve Uygulama onları harcama olarak ekleyene kadar cihazınızda kalır.

5. Harcama Konumu

Harcama Konumu isteğe bağlı bir Costbook Plus özelliğidir ve siz Ayarlar’dan açana kadar kapalıdır. Açıkken Uygulama, harcama eklediğinizde cihazınızdan konumunuzu (yaklaşık 100 metre hassasiyetle) alır ve harcamalarınızı haritada görebilmeniz için kısa bir yer adıyla birlikte harcamaya kaydeder. Yer adı iPhone ve iPad’de Apple’ın Haritalar hizmetinden, Android’de Android’in adres çözümleme hizmetinden (bir Google hizmeti) alınır; bunun için konum Apple’a veya Google’a iletilir. Haritalar Apple Haritalar ya da Google Haritalar ile gösterilir. Konumlar cihazınızda saklanır; Eşitleme açıksa harcamalarıyla birlikte eşitlenir ve paylaşılır. Herhangi bir harcamanın konumunu kaldırabilirsiniz; Harcama Konumu’nu kapattığınızda yeni harcamalara konum kaydedilmez.

6. Ortak Liste Bildirimleri

Giriş yaptıysanız ve Ayarlar’dan Ortak Liste Bildirimleri’ni açarsanız, Uygulama cihazınızı Firebase Cloud Messaging’e (bir Google hizmeti), iPhone ve iPad’de ayrıca Apple Anlık Bildirim Servisi’ne kaydeder; cihazın bildirim anahtarını (token), dil ve bölge ayarınızı ve bildirimlerin açık olup olmadığını hesabınız altında saklar. Paylaştığınız bir listeye biri harcama eklediğinde ya da sizinle başka bir üye arasındaki bir ödemeyi işaretlediğinde, sunucumuz (Google Cloud Functions) cihazlarınıza listenin adını, kişinin adını, tutarı ve harcamanın notunu içeren bir bildirim gönderir. Ayarı kapatmak ya da çıkış yapmak o cihazdaki bildirimleri durdurur.

7. Cihazınızda Kalan Özellikler

• Uygulama Kilidi iPhone ve iPad’de Face ID, Touch ID ya da parolanızı, Android’de parmak iziniz, yüzünüz ya da ekran kilidinizi kullanır; doğrulamayı işletim sistemi yapar. Uygulama yalnızca doğrulamanın başarılı olup olmadığını öğrenir; biyometrik verileriniz bize hiçbir zaman ulaşmaz.
• Widget’lar, Canlı Etkinlikler ve sabitlenen liste bildirimi harcamalarınızı Ana Ekran’da ve Kilitli Ekran’da, cihazınızda tutulan verilerle gösterir. Ekranınızı gören herkes bunları da görebilir.
• Apple Watch ve Wear OS: saat uygulaması listelerinizi ve kategorilerinizi doğrudan telefonunuzdan alır; saatte eklediğiniz harcamalar doğrudan telefonunuza gider. Hiçbiri sunucularımızdan geçmez.

8. Döviz Kurları

Tutarları para birimleri arasında çevirmek için Uygulama, günlük kurları ücretsiz ve herkese açık bir hizmetten (jsDelivr ve Cloudflare Pages üzerinden sunulan Exchange API) indirir. Bu isteklerde kişisel bilgi bulunmaz; ancak her internet isteğinde olduğu gibi bu sunucular IP adresinizi görebilir.

9. Satın Almalar

Costbook Plus, iPhone ve iPad’de Apple App Store, Android’de Google Play üzerinden satılır. Ödemeyi Apple ya da Google işler; ödeme bilgileriniz bize hiçbir zaman ulaşmaz. Uygulama onlardan yalnızca hangi planın etkin olduğunu öğrenir.

10. Yapmadıklarımız

• Reklam göstermeyiz, reklam SDK’sı kullanmayız.
• Sizi uygulamalar veya web siteleri arasında takip etmeyiz, reklam kimliği kullanmayız.
• Bilgilerinizi satmayız veya kiralamayız.

Uygulamanın nasıl kullanıldığını saymak için Google Analytics for Firebase kullanırız: örneğin bir liste oluşturulduğunu, harcama eklendiğini, bir davetin açıldığını ya da Costbook Plus ekranının gösterildiğini ve satın almaları. Bunlarla birlikte cihaz türünüz, işletim sistemi ve uygulama sürümünüz, diliniz ve yaklaşık ülkeniz de gelir. Bu olaylar hiçbir zaman liste adı, tutar, not ya da belge içermez. Analytics reklam kimliği olmadan ve reklam kişiselleştirmesi kapalı çalışır. iPhone ve iPad’de Uygulamayı bir Apple Ads reklamından yüklediyseniz Apple, Uygulamaya hangi kampanya, reklam grubu ve anahtar kelimeden geldiğini bildirir; bu kimlikler analiz verileriyle birlikte tutulur.

iOS ayarlarınızda analiz verilerini uygulama geliştiricileriyle ya da Android’de kullanım ve teşhis verilerini paylaşmayı seçtiyseniz, Apple veya Google bize anonim çökme raporları iletebilir.

11. Hizmet Sağlayıcılar ve Yurt Dışına Aktarım

Hesap ve eşitlenen veriler, bizim adımıza işleyen Google Firebase’de (Authentication ve Cloud Firestore) saklanır; bu sunucular Türkiye dışında bulunabilir. Ayrıntılar için Firebase’de Gizlilik ve Güvenlik sayfasına bakın. AI ile tara, Google Cloud Functions üzerinde çalışır ve 4. bölümde anlatıldığı gibi Google Gemini API ile OpenRouter’ı (ve onun yönlendirdiği yapay zekâ model sağlayıcılarını) kullanır. Bildirimler, 6. bölümde anlatıldığı gibi Firebase Cloud Messaging ve Apple Anlık Bildirim Servisi üzerinden iletilir. Kullanım sayıları, 10. bölümde anlatıldığı gibi Google Analytics for Firebase’e gider. Bunun dışında bilgileri yalnızca yasal zorunluluk halinde paylaşırız.

12. Saklama ve Silme

• Cihazınızdaki veriler, siz veya Uygulamayı silene kadar kalır.
• Silinen listeler ve harcamalar 30 gün boyunca Çöp’te kalır, ardından kalıcı olarak silinir.
• Çıkış yapmak hesabın listelerini o cihazda gizler; hiçbir şey silinmez.
• Hesabı silmek: Uygulamada Ayarlar → Eşitle → Hesabı Sil yolunu izleyin. Bu işlem hesabınızı, profilinizi ve hesaba eşitlenen her şeyi, başkalarıyla paylaştığınız kendi listeleriniz dahil, kalıcı olarak siler. Başkalarının sizinle paylaştığı listelerden çıkarılırsınız; oralara eklediğiniz harcamalar o listelerde kalır. Cihazınızdaki veriler etkilenmez.
• Cihazlarınızın bildirim anahtarları hesabınızla birlikte silinir; çalışmayı bırakan bir anahtar, bir sonraki bildirim gönderilirken silinir.
• Verilerinizin silinmesini e-posta ile de talep edebilirsiniz.

13. Haklarınız

6698 sayılı Kişisel Verilerin Korunması Kanunu (KVKK) ve bulunduğunuz yere göre GDPR gibi düzenlemeler kapsamında verilerinize erişme, düzeltilmesini veya silinmesini isteme, bir kopyasını alma ve işlenmesine itiraz etme veya kısıtlanmasını isteme haklarına sahip olabilirsiniz. Bilgilerinizin çoğunu Uygulamada görüp düzenleyebilirsiniz; diğer talepleriniz için bize yazın. Kişisel Verileri Koruma Kurumu’na veya bulunduğunuz ülkenin veri koruma otoritesine şikâyette bulunma hakkınız da vardır.

14. Çocuklar

Costbook 13 yaşından küçük çocuklara yönelik değildir ve bu çocuklardan bilerek kişisel bilgi toplamayız.

15. Politika Değişiklikleri

Bu politika değiştiğinde bu sayfayı ve en üstteki tarihi güncelleriz.
